Collaborative Lawyering is a form of alternative dispute resolution where each party and each lawyer agrees to not go to court and to keep trying to settle matters between them until it is resolved. If either party feels that they want to go to Court, then the lawyers who have signed the collaborative lawyering agreement are unable to represent the clients in Court proceedings and the clients need to find new lawyers to do so. This ensures that all parties will do their best to resolve issues.
In Queensland there is a Collaborative Lawyers Association of Accredited Family Law Specialist and Lynette Galvin of our office is eligible to join. We will advise when the programme is up and available to our clients. To learn more about collaborative lawyering click here.
